Welcome to Band Guitar Picks – a blog that features photos and pictures of guitar picks from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and current rock and pop bands. You can navigate the site by clicking on the guitar pick categories on the right-hand side of the page, or type in your favorite band in the search box. This is a personal site, so it only displays picks I own, and no picks are for sale. Thanks for looking, and feel free to leave comments! Also check out the Custom Guitar Picks page to find out how to get your own picks made ¤ Jen
8/31/2014 I’ve added tons of new band pages (Boston, Savatage, Testament, Rick Springfield, Static X, Tenacious D, Foo Fighters, John Mayer, Maroon 5, Daughtry, Mastodon, Steel Panther, and more), and I’ve updated most of the other pages with new picks! To navigate the site, click on the Categories and alphabetical letters on the right side of the page, or type in your favorite band or guitarist in the Search box at the top right.
Kiss guitar picks from band members Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, Bruce Kulick, Peter Criss, Tommy Thayer, Eric Singer, and Kiss guitar techs. The Ace and Paul gold and white picks are the first guitar picks I ever caught (back in 1992 on the Revenge tour). Other picks shown here include ones from the Dynasty, Crazy Nights, Psycho Circus, Alive/Worldwide 96-97, 2000 Farewell, Sonic Boom, Kiss Alive 35, Kiss Cruise, The Hottest Show On Earth, and Monster. What’s your most prized KISS concert guitar pick? My boyfriend just found his vintage stash of Kiss picks, so they are now shown here!
Kiss Pick World is selling various Kiss city guitar picks. Jan 2011 – I just met Paul Stanley’s guitar tech Francis at NAMM and he gave me his custom pick, plus a Kiss Alive 35 pick – lucky me!
Also check out my KISS Farewell Guitar Picks and KISS Related Guitar Picks and Ace Frehley Guitar Picks. Finally check out KISS Picks-N-Sticks, where you can see pictures of every KISS guitar pick (not just the ones I am lucky enough to have), KISS tribute band picks, KISS novelty picks, and KISS related bands guitar picks.
Van Halen guitar picks from Michael Anthony, Sammy Hagar, Wolfgang, Eddie Van Halen, Van Halen 3, and the David Lee Roth band. These are from several different Van Halen concert tours, including the 1984 tour, Balance tour and the current 2012 tour (including the VIP tin picks). There are also some picks from Sammy Hagar’s Cabo Wabo Cantina (the one in Mexico and the new one in Las Vegas). I am so excited I now have some of the David Lee Roth Skyscraper and Eat ‘Em And Smile picks. There are also Chickenfoot guitar picks, and a Montrose pick. You can see more Steve Vai guitar picks here. I love Van Halen’s music!
DAVID LEE ROTH:
Here are Aerosmith guitar picks for Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Steven Tyler, Joey Kramer, and Brad Whitford, plus Joe Perry’s Rock Your World picks, Mama Kin Music Hall, Guitar Hero, Tom Hamilton’s obscenies.com, and an Aerosmith Rockin’ Roller Coaster pick. The colorful picks are ones they give to fan club members. The other picks are from various Aerosmith tours including 2013, Nine Lives, Just Push Play and Rockin’ The Joint. My favorite Aerosmith guitar pick so far is the Japanese Godzilla Joe Perry pick and the orange tiger stripe one! The Jim Survis Simpsons pick is for Joe Perry’s guitar tech.
Zakk Wylde tour guitar picks from Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne, Ozzfest, and Steel Dragon, the ficticious band from the movie Rock Star. I was an extra on the movie Rock Star, but my scene ended up on the cutting room floor:( I played a groupie backstage at a Steel Dragon concert, and I had to pace back and forth behind Jennifer Aniston and Mark Wahlberg as they got into a fight. I am dying to get the 3 different Hello Kitty Black Label Society guitar picks! Ooh I just got one, and the Pikachu pick - two more to get… There’s also a pick for Nick Cantanese’s band Speed X. What is your most prized BLS pick?
BLACK LABEL SOCIETY:
OZZFEST & OZZY OSBOURNE / ZAKK WYLDE:
Bon Jovi concert guitar picks from band members Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, Alech John Such, Bobby Bandiera, and Hugh McDonald. Picks shown here are from the 2013 Because We Can, New Jersey, 2007 Lost Highway, 2003 Bounce, 2001 Crush, One Wild Night, Have A Nice Day, Keep The Faith, These Days, The Circle Tour 2011, and Richie’s solo 1991 Stranger In This Town tours. I love Bon Jovi’s music, and there are so many more picks from them that I want – mostly the older ones!
